We are reuniting our large ensemble to deliver a dynamic live performance of our classic 2005 album Four Blocks To Hennepin in its entirety. The original Terramara quartet of Rob Meany (keys, vocals), David Thomas (drums), Karl Koopman (guitar) and James Towns (bass), will be joined by several special guests including a four-piece horn section and three singers to deliver a freshly-orchestrated version of the 14-tracks that comprise the record.
Horn section includes: Jim Hann - Trombone, Dave Foley - Alto Sax and Flute, Andrew Schwandt - Tenor Sax, and Tom Twiss - Trumpet.
Additional Singers include: Shelly Domke, Jana Anderson and Paul Thomas.
Tickets and table reservations are highly recommended as Icehouse has limited seating. Icehouse is also a highly regarded Minneapolis restaurant with excellent food and a great bar. Come for dinner and stay for the show!
To get you warmed up for the show, enjoy this free download of the album's title track, "Four Blocks To Hennepin". Or download the whole album on our website.
Hope you can join us for our biggest and last show of the year! See you on Sunday!
The Youth Music Education Foundation asked me to perform at their benefit concert awhile back. I had forgotten that they recorded it until I noticed this playlist of videos on YouTube recently. Bunch of live videos of me playing my songs, old and new, down at Jazz Central in Minneapolis.
This is the 14th song in our demo download series. I am sending your way an MP3 of a track called "Find Another Way To Your Heart", a ballad of hearache. I wrote this one thinking it might be a good track for another artist to coer if I didn't release it myself. Enjoy the piano-vocal version here and let me know if it has potential.
