Chase Bank Has "Goodbye" As Hold Music

Been getting some reports that if you call into Chase Bank (in Chicago, at least) they have our song "Goodbye" in rotation as the music you hear while on hold.  Just wanted to make it easier to find us and enjoy the music.  I have enabled "Goodbye" as a free MP3 download on the Music Page.  All you have to do is enter an email address.   Thanks for seeking us out!

"Just wanted to drop you a quick note how I found your music. I was put on hold with Chase bank and it came into the song at the chorus and I immediately loved the song. Before I could pull out my phone and have one of my apps tell me what it was, they took me back off hold. I googled what lyrics I could remember and came up empty. I then jumped on my piano, recorded the piano and sang the lyrics and tried to use my phone on that... nothing. I must have searched for about 6 frustrating hours. Today, I called Chase again and was put on hold and your song came back on (about 1/2 way in), grabbed my phone and it picked it up through the receiver. So be sure to thank Chase Bank that you have a new fan (and probably more who aren't as OCD as I am). It's on regular rotation for their hold music. :)"

Rob @ Jo Jo's Rise & Wine

Rob will be finishing out 2011 with a solo show at Jo Jo's Rise & Wine in Burnsville this Friday night, Dec. 30th, from 7:30 - 10 pm.  Hope you can make it.  Pros: free, early start time, great food and drinks, free, lots of board games available during downtime, and free.  Cons:  there aren't any!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Thanks for all your support this year!

Rob & The Amalganauts Live at Claddaugh

The Amalganauts return to The Claddaugh Irish Pub in Maple Grove this Saturday, December 10th for another evening of live music.  We will be playing a variety of cover tunes from such artists as Steely Dan, The Police, Tears For Fears, Stevie Wonder, and many more.   Music starts at 9 pm and there is no cover charge.  Come on down or up, as the case may be.

Got a hometown show coming up at Fitger's Brewhouse in Duluth this Friday at 10 pm - 1 am.   If you are in the area, come on down! You know the Meanys will be there.

This Week At Republic

This Thursday, November 17th, is my last gig at Republic!  I will be joined by fellow bandmate, James Towns, and we will be laying down some new tunes along with a selection from the latest Terramara release, Dust & Fiction. Hope you can make it! No cover, great beer selection and food, music from 9:30 - 11:30 pm. 

This Thursday At Republic

This Thursday, November 10th, I will be back at Republic at Seven Corners playing a solo show from 9:30 - 11:30 pm. This week I will be performing the entire Terramara album, Four Blocks To Hennepin, in addition to my new songs.  

If you are new to Republic, it's very cool new pub near downtown Minneapolis and the U of M.   It's a spacious place with three separate rooms, one of which, called AUX1, is the music venue.   It's got a great stage and PA system and an inviting atmosphere, excellent for listening to music.

Republic Tonight

I'll be performing tonight at Republic from 9:30 -11:30, during which time I will share some new songs, and then play the entire first Terramara CD in kind of a remixed fashion with some loops and funky sounds. I will be there every Thursday this month. Hope you can make it.

Republic AUX1

Excited to report that I will be the Artist in Residence on Thursdays nights in November at Republic, a new club from the people that brought you the Aster Cafe and the 318 Club.  I will be performing solo from 9:30 pm - 11:30 each Thursday and inviting some special guests to join me. No cover!   Make plans to be there!

A Weekend With Rob

October 8-9 is a busy weekend for all of Rob's musical projects.

On Saturday, Oct. 8, Rob will do a solo set at Golden's Deli at 3 pm as part of the St. Paul Art Crawl. 

Then a few hours later, Rob will join the Amalganauts at 9 pm for a night of cover tunes and improvisation at The Claddagh in Maple Grove.

On Sunday, Oct. 9th, Rob & Terramara will make a rare appearance, once again at Golden's Deli at 2 pm.  

All events are free and open to all ages.  Come join me for a weekend with Rob.

Rob Meany Live @ The Roasted Pear

I'll be trying out a new venue this Saturday, Oct. 1 by bringing the Rob Meany show to The Roasted Pear  in Burnsville from 8:30 - 11:30 pm.  On this gig, I will be mixing original songs with some well-known cover tunes.  Come on down and get a free CD for just for showing up.

The Amalganauts Live

 When my band, Terramara, is performing cover tunes only, we play under the moniker, The Amalganauts.   Saturday, Sept. 10 we will do so at Claddagh Irish Pub in Maple Grove, Minnesota.   Please join us from 9 pm to close.   If any Rob Meany/Terramara fans show up, we can certainly do some of those songs too.
